More About Sam
Sam is known for his environmentally sensitive, stylish, and harmonious design approach.
In garden design Sam discovered the perfect fusion of his passion for horticulture, creative flair and cultural expertise, allowing him to craft well-thought-out and beautiful gardens.
Before returning to his native Norfolk in 2017 and embarking on a transformative career change, Sam gained a decade of valuable experience working for prestigious arts, publishing, and heritage organisations, including Condé Nast, Historic Royal Palaces, and the Royal Horticultural Society.
At his core, Sam is driven by a desire to connect people with their gardens, creating a sense of space and place.
The essence of garden design lies in discovering and conveying the garden's narrative, fostering an intimate, personal space for his clients. He believes this process can be exhilarating, joyous, and profoundly meaningful.
Sam’s design philosophy prioritises creation of resilient, ecologically sound, and richly bio-diverse landscapes, regardless of the garden's size. He understands the significance of fostering a harmonious world that mitigates the impact of climate change.
Despite focusing on habitat-rich environments and nature-friendly havens, Sam firmly believes that a garden's aesthetics should never be compromised. He skillfully balances ecological integrity with beauty, ensuring that each garden reflects the client's personality and sparks joy and pleasure.
Whether serene and calming, energising and vibrant, or anything in between, Sam crafts gardens that become cherished and inviting spaces. He delivers stylish, harmonious, and ecologically sound gardens that stand as positive investments for the future.
